Founder and CEO of Gothic Software Solutions, affectionately known as Gothsoft, which serves as a cover for her slightly less than legal activities. Professional miscreant, Runaway, and owner of a closet containing at least a few too many skeletons.
Ophelia tends to wear a long black coat at all times, inside which she carries with her the diary that she keeps, a worn volume with the letters 'OP2' scrawled across the cover.
"I hate violence, it's not my fault if I'm good at it though..."
A rebel, a tough-girl, a complete royal pain in the ass, or quite possibly a combination of all three. Crimson is impulsive and reckless to a fault, but at times it's hard to say if she's trying hard to convince everyone else or if she's trying harder to convince herself.
"God looked upon Eve and saw she was the perfect woman...I didn't want God to make me pregnant, so I decided to not be his type."
A fallen angel, and spellcaster of the most arcane of hidden arts, her abilities are both strange and terrifying to behold. Her daemonic trickery knows no bounds, from tying unsuspecting shoelaces together to mixing alchemy or producing strange mind altering effects...or is she just a girl in an old-fashioned dress who confuses people, nobody's really sure.
"Ahaha! It is I, Melty Ashengard!!! Whom'st have summoned me from the infernal plane? Dost thou hav'st envy of my greater powers?"
Muse fans will have to wait until some way into the book to get to meet her, which is probably just as well because she has an awful tendency to press on people's triggers just to see what happens. You could almost say she's a bit of a bloodsucker, really...
As you may have likely figured by now, OP2 is a Durarara x Stargate Universe crossover fanfic to the beat of Terry Pratchet and Jack Campbell with additional influence from Full Metal Panic and Bodacious Space Pirates.
Funnily enough no, I never actually read The Goth Girl and the Jock by Merryweather Media until quite recently. I hope that if our respective Ophelia's did meet that they would be friends.
The Ophelia in my story draws her name from Ophelia Merck in 'The Summer People,' not from Shakespeare's Hamlet. She was inspired by several characters from their respective different series, including Black*Rock Shooter, Sinon/Shino Asada, Blake Belladonna, and Rayet (from Aldnoah Zero.) As well as the song 'Rolling Girl' by Wowaka (with vocals by Hatsune Miku.) If I have forgotten any other sources I used for inspiration I will list them here in the future.
